  1. Who is also here refreshing themselves on what to expect if/when Nintendo decides to confirm the rumors and release GB/GBC on the Switch?

  2. "No Gameboy Color", here's Fifa 96 in full color…

  5. I definitively agree with #1 – best game I ever played in my Game Boy.

  6. Where are Zelda link's awakening, super mario land 2, wario land series ??
I respect your choice by the way. Everyone have its favorite taste in games

  7. Pokemon…. a Zelda clone?

I mean I wouldn't put it at #1 either but I don't see how it's a Zelda clone at all

  8. Must have been a pain to get all the footage, great job!!!!

  9. GG POKEMON AJKLJSDLSAJDLKJASLKDJASLKDJLKDJSLKJASDLJALSK

  10. мда… большая часть игр выглядит очень и очень уныло. как в это можно было играть?

  11. Cant argue with number one. one of my all time favourite games.

  12. Metroid 2 is actually my number 1 favorite of all time, even in 2021. Super Metroid comes in as #2.

Would be nice if anyone did an Atari 2600 top games list. Seaquest better be on it if they do lol

  13. I might've just missed it but Legend of the River King definitely is up there on my list. I don't usually do fishing games, but the RPG aspects make it awesome. Sort of how I don't usually like golf games but love the mobile Mario Gold games.

  14. Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle deserves honorable mention at least. Its not a typical platformer but like a chase puzzler. You run away from enemies in "benny hill" logic gameplay, ducking into backroom passageways and using pipes to outmaneuver the bad guys. Sometimes you can push a big safe over a ledge to splatter them, or use a one-off rocket punch powerup. The goal each level is to collect all the carrots, but I think some levels are about finding a key. I'm sure the gameplay is simply ripped off some other game, but I still hold a ton of nostalgia for it nonetheless.

  15. Megalavania from Undertale sounds just like Ninja Gaiden at 7:55

  16. Castlevania II deserves to be ranked higher, it’s not its fault it’s sandwiched between two bad games. But certainly Castlevania II is better than those crappy MK ports and Gremlins 2

  17. This Revenge of the Gator really remind Pokemon Pinball! It seems a lot of fun!

  18. Out of the top 50 you’ve listed I have:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fall of the Foot Clan
    Golf
    Balloon Kid
    T2: The Arcade Game
    CastleVania The Adventure
Mortal Kombat I & II (On separate cartridges)
    Pipe Dream
    Ninja Gaiden Shadow
    Battle Toads in Ragnorok’s World
    Killer Instinct
    Gargoyle’s Quest: Ghost ‘N Goblins
    RoboCop
    Batman
    Operation C
    Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow
Metroid II The Return of Samus
Donkey Kong Land I, II, & III
    Donkey Kong
    Tetris
Super Mario Land 1 & 2, Wario Land, Wario Land II (GBC version)
    Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening

  19. Out of the Honorable Mentions I have:
    James Bond 007
    Prince of Persia (GBC version)
    Turok: Battle of the Bionasaurs
    Tennis
    R-Type
    WWF Superstars

  20. Kwerk.. damn i searched so long for the name of this game…

  21. I love Bionic Commando so much, it's got that futuristic feel to that game compare to the NES version. Very sleek and stylish graphics. Capcom sure knows how to make the best of games.

  22. You totally didn't add Pokemon red and blue

  23. Is it just me or are some Game Boy games superior to the NES itself?

  24. kid icarus is not even a honorable mention? wow

  25. We really needed HD 1080p to see that 140p screen. Thanks !

  26. The problem with the "entire series as one entry" rule is that, while it allows for the inclusion of multiple worthy games at once in cases like Mario Land and the Final Fantasy Legend trilogy, it also results in the inclusion of some, shall we say, less-than-worthy entries. I mean let's not mince words, the Gameboy port of Mortal Kombat I was barely-playable garbage (while II was a massive improvement on it).

I'd question the low placement of Gargoyle's Quest, as well as the relegation of Kirby's Dreamland II to the honorable mentions, but I can't argue with the #1 pick. Link's Awakening remains one of my favourite games EVER on any platform to this day.

  27. Enjoyed your top 50 so much, thank you! Kind regards from the Netherlands from a GB fan

  28. If I were tasked with it and tried for years I still think I'd have trouble coming up with a funnier game title than: "Sensible Soccer: European Champions"

Edit: did NOT know Double Dragon 2, which I played a bunch, was a Kunio game originally. You learn something new every day.👍

  29. #39 Mortal Kombat? It's an absolute s*** game!

  30. DK '94 was horrifically marketed and titled. It's my favorite GB game now and I thought it was just old regular donkey kong back when it was released.

  31. Oof, man. Your list baffles me.
I need to bring one game up though, not even in your honorable mentions, the absolute best fighting game I ever played on the Game Boy:
    Battle Arena Toshinden

  32. Daedalian Opus, F-1 Race, Boxxle, Qix are also worth checking out.

  33. No Kid Dracula?? Not even in the Honorable mentions?? Wut??

  34. I would have put "Street Fighter 2" in there. "SFII" is the greatest fighting game ever, and I remember people talking about what an accomplishment it was to port the game to the SNES. How much more so, then, to port it to an 8-bit, black-and-green, handheld machine.

  35. The secret behind DONKEY KONG LAND and why it had so good graphics is that Rare did the same thing with the Game Boy version like what they did with the SNES game: they included all graphics-related rendering and acceleration inside the module; they even worked with prerendered levels and sprites for the first time in 8- and 16-bit console history. While most games on the Game Boy have to work with a preloaded tile set which makes up everything from sprites to level design, DONKEY KONG LAND dynamically filled the memory bus of the Game Boy with the graphics needed for just about the viewport, which demoted the platform easily to a passthrough device for the game graphics as they were composed on the module, not on the console. The only thing they weren't able to change was the sound.

  36. já vi varias vezes ..que tempo bom foi esse em😊
