  1. since you had a Japan-only game early in the list, and had some other RPGs, I was really expecting Mother 3 in the top of the list

  2. Golden Sun's music was composed by Motoi Sakuraba? Well THAT'S certainly a bit of information that demands my attention.

I already bought both games on Wii U since the eshop is closing soon, but now I have a reason to play them sooner rather than later

  3. I've imported fan translations of Famicom, Super Famicom, Gameboy and Gameboy Wars Turbo, and while they're all good, they're just not as good as Advance Wars. I'm super excited for Reboot Camp. I'd definitely watch a history of that series.

  4. THANK YOU FOR ADDING MEGAMAN Battle Network!! Wouldve been criminal to not add, seems to be under rated imo in the old school games videos ive seen. Not many people seem to know of it

  5. I was about to rage comment to defend advance wars, but you did the right thing and made it #1. I would put FF Tactics Advance on this list and take off F Zero, but I personally enjoy strategy over racing

  6. Awesome awesome list. The only thing I feel was missing was Final Fantasy Advanced Tactics. But the GBA had SO MANY bangers that some ppls favs and greatest hits are bound to be left out.

Also, would love to see videos on history of Nintendos greatest games

  7. Thanks for not throwing in the typical Pokémon and Mario games in there. So annoying to hear the same 5 games from everyone

  8. Playing Golden Sun on my 3DS LL Now and really enjoying it!

  9. There’s a banjo Kazooie game that plays really well also that is also isometric 3-D like the Spyro game!!

    It’s super fun as well

  10. Dude I think Fire Emblem is 1000 times better than AW but great list for sure. I missed Boktai too but that would take a Top20 maybe

  11. Golden sun is the only game besides Mario that got my attention and I played it religiously. Good times

  12. I'm glad MMBN3 made the list. One of my favorite games of all time.

  13. Wait, what!? The GBA is one of my favourite consoles of all time and Gunstar Heroes is one of my favourite games… How did I miss Gunstar Future Heroes!?

Awesome list, definitely a few new ones here that I'll be checking out!

  14. Golden Sun and Battle Network literally own my childhood

  15. I have the same double pack of castlevania, also still has the "5€" sticker on it. What a steal! Never gonna sell it because its simply my favorite game.

  16. It just dawned on my with battle network. You are on the internet with MegaMan, and you are offline with Lan (Local Area Network).

  17. I never even knew gunstar heroes got a sequel. Looks awesome.

  18. 𝙻 - 𝙾 𝙽 𝙴 - 𝚇 | 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘳 says:

    stunning video, man

  19. 𝙻 - 𝙾 𝙽 𝙴 - 𝚇 | 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘳 says:

I love the colour pallet of sonic advance games and the music. but i just… aaah I dno I always feel like the gameplay shoulda been 0,05x faster. I actually played it on an emulator an upped the speed by 0.10 and while it was a tad faster than it needed to be, it felt so much better. maybe thats just me though

  20. I've finished both golden sun games as a kid. I replayed them now as an adult, the first is just as amazing as I remember, but the second is so open and confusing, I have NO idea how I managed to find my way around as a kid 😀

  21. Sad to see Advance Guardian Heroes is not on here

  22. Me click right off the video because no pokemon

  23. Lord of the rings the third age is the best gba game imo

  24. Nintendo needs to release Zero Mission on the Switch.

  25. Advance Wars 2 is one of the best turn based strategy games period, there's also a romhack made by fans with balances and reworks in habilities and its own custom campaign called advance wars returns

  26. Great list. Sounds wierd but the sims 2 is a really fun game with a strange absorbing atmosphere.

  27. thanks for the recommendations. a few of those werent on my radar before 🙂

  28. Battle Network 3 is my #1 GBA title. The gameplay was so much fun, the bosses ranged from decently challenging to absolute ball-breakers, and it was always a cheer-worthy moment when you beat them. And the story! Holy hell, the story! I actually got a bit teary-eyed at several points throughout, which for me is a pretty rare feat for a game to accomplish. I was so moved by the story of BN3 that when I borrowed BN4 from a friend, I was SO disappointed. The writers just hit the reset button and it was like nothing from the previous game ever happened! Because of that I never actually bought my own copy of BN4 back in the day, it took YEARS for me to check out BN5, and I missed out on BN6 entirely. Definitely going to be picking up the collection to see what I missed!

Runner up was Sonic Advance 1, and picking Sonic Advance 1 as opposed to the rest of the trilogy comes down mostly to the soundtrack. Those were some snappy tunes, and while Sonic Advance 2 matched its predecessor in terms of gameplay, the music of 2 and 3 just weren't quite there for me. And SA3, I found the tag-team gameplay neat, but only in small doses.

I am VERY excited to play the Metroid and Golden Sun games on NSO. I only rented Golden Sun the Lost Age back in the day, but was wowed by the visuals and the bit of the story that I did get to experience. And I missed out on the Metroid games entirely. I'm not sure why it took me until Dread to actually get into the series, as I definitely found the GBA games appealing, I just never picked up and played them myself.

  29. Hey there, first time watching your channel and I'm mesmerized by the amount of boxed games you have! I really enjoyed the games you've shown in this list. Can't wait to watch more of your content!

  30. One game I have fond memories of is Ultimate Spider-Man. I think its one of if not the best spider-man games on GBA.

  31. Great to see a youtuber that doesn't put all 5 rpg pokemon games in the list.

  32. My favorite GBA games were:
    Golden Sun
    Warioware Inc
    Sword of Mana
    Mother 3
    Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
    Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
    Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
    Pokemon Emerald
    Pokemon Fire Red
    Final Fantasy IV
    Zelda Minish Cap

  33. I find it interesting that none of my favourites were on your list, but that's a testament to how much amazing content was on the GBA

For me some of the best games were Sigma Star Saga, sort of JRPG but all the combat is side scrolling space shooters. I loved Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. And V-Rally 3 was shocking in a 2D landscape

  34. I feel the same way about advanced wars over playing fire emblem

  35. Have you played Roundabout? If you like Kururin youll love Roundabout

  36. Weird, I bought Wario ware twisted in the UK no problem

  37. I loved final fantasy advanced tactics
There was this angst quality to the story that drew me in
