Tea Boxes are excellent for storing gameboy games.
I still have solar striker
I KNEW I LIKE YOU MIKE MATEI! ORACLE OF SEASONS WAS A CRUCIAL GAME FOR ME
The Game Boy deserves better than this.
I feel like I was the only person who didn't have Tetris for my Game Boy.
Ryan is looking healthy and with more self love. Go bro Go! You can do it 😀
Return of the Joker is better on Gameboy by far. That was one of my favorite games
"Somebody out there needs to make a custom holder for Gameboy games."
Are you fucking kidding me? There are tons of those out there, and there have been since the Gameboy came out.
Solar Striker was the second Gameboy game I bought. It's a rewarding shooter that takes practice but it's well worth it. I love that game.
I like the Mario Land and DK Land trilogy. I also enjoyed playing Battle Arena Toshinden on GB as well.
I agree with Ryan about Super Mario Land. SML was a product of its time—it hadn’t quite reached that Mario magic that SML 2 would accomplish. It’s a great game, just different and a little bare bones in retrospect.
You probably have seen this somewhere in the comments, but yes, Double Dragon 2 is a 2 player game.
Pokemon rby needs a switch remake, with real time battles and a "minigame maker" kinda like Mario maker but for mini games
Dude… go to the $1 store and buy little hook-and-loop stickers… stick them on your hockey card binder. should be enough room to stick the slots shut and fit the game under the Velcr… hook and loop stickers?
Horizonitically… @2:31
yes please can't get enough Game Boy
I put all my GB games in some sorta phot curtain of sorts that you get in gift stores. Like said, it looks kinda like a clear plastic curtain that has pockets to insert photos inside. I used that on the inside of my cabinet and attached it with screws and washers. I have all my GB games on both doors and can always see them nice and ready to pick out.
You can probably use a old minidisc wallet (think CD wallet but for minidiscs) to store gameboy carts, they still don't have flaps but they're quite snug and designed for the heavier minidisc to remain secure.
Nice! Definitely a great idea to review Gameboy and other handheld games!
Legend of Zelda series is probably my favorite series too Mike! 😀
I have all of Four Game Boy games. 🙂
Pokemon Blue, Rugrats, Links Awakening, and Pokemon Pinball.
I'm not lying I was playing solar striker 2 days ago. It's pretty fun in my opinion.
How the hell can I get on this show
There are ultra pro binder pages that have a strip that keeps cards(or in this case games) from falling out. I have them
Killer Instinct for gb is bad??
4:50s … the reason i'n solar strikering- is because i was never pro enough.
solar striker was one of my favorite games on the gameboy ,because of the ending theme.
DOOD. I seriously recently bought Solar Striker (among other games) for my custom gameboy color that I bought from 8bit gaming, and I cant speak highly enough of it! Its a great game. Hard as hell, and really frustrating…but really fun. So at 4:45 – Thats me. I'm playing it. I can send receipts and screenshots if need be…lol. Thats so funny that this would come up right now.
I love Solar Striker. the tune is awesome. Just stood infront of a copy for 618 Yen yesterday. Didnt get it tho hh
Woah, Ryan doesn’t look like a drug addict anymore.
Love solar striker, it one of my go to games. I have it on my bittboy, along like a dozen others.
Ryan looks great
Drink every time you hear gameboy.
Talking about defending games, i actually love Mortal Kombat 3 for the Gameboy, the game is laggy, which for some reason i love when games push the system limitations, but its still playable, the diferences is that you cant press the buttons like you would on the arcade or anywhere else, for example, the roundhouse kick you have to press foward and A to do it, to compensate for the lag you have to keep the buttons pressed until he actually does the move
Another mechanic unique to the Gameboy version is how damage is calculated, again the roundhouse kick, the closer you hit, the more damage it will do, for a person who loves combos, that mechanic is a nice replacement for that
Maybe its nostalgia cause i used to play that game when i was a kid, and i always chose sub zero cause i thought he looked like my dad, but i love the game and i still play it
(there is a UMK3 rom hack thing made by Z80artist, you should play that version, its great :3 )
Where's pokemon
A bit late, but was playing solar striker
Don't gameboy games have a little icon on the games showing if they are single player or multiplayer with a link cable? Unless the label is damaged, it should anyway.
Solar Striker is an awesome cheap shooter.. u will like it MIKE!!!!
Now I missed my Gameboy, I remember playing Super Mario Land 1 & 2, Wario Land, Zelda, Power Ranger, Megaman & Pokemon for countless hour in my childhood days, thanks for making this video Mike it gave us Nostalgia.
GB was a badass system. I had the fat grey one, pocket, color, and GBA SP (I skipped the original GBA). I had a lot of games back then (not so many that I needed a big case or anything, but enough to make my pockets bulge. Wasn't very comfortable). Had some good ones like Atari Classic No. 1, Battle Arena Toshinden, Super Mario Land 1 & 2, Elevator Action, Kirby's Dream Land 1 & 2, Kirby's Star Stacker, etc. I don't have my GB collection anymore. Well, not in cartridge form. These days I use emulation. It's very convenient for me to emulate using a PS Vita (fat model). GB/GBC emulation is pretty much perfect on it. I'm able to carry lots of games without having any discomfort in my pockets. That's revolutionary!! lol. Also, the Vita's OLED screen is DOPE. Makes GBC look freaking good! I can't say that I miss my original GBC anymore.
I look forward to seeing what other GB games these dudes – Mike and Ryan – have. Really enjoyed the video.
I used to get this pivotal feeling when I saw gameboy games and I just got the old feeling for a brief second that I forgot about long ago when I saw the pile of games
Castlevania Legends is the 3rd one on GB. There was also Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge before that.
3:11 skip the bs
Solar Striker was my favourite gameboy game as a kid!!
Ryan you look a lot better with the trimmed beard and hairstyle.
This video seemed pretty useless with so little game footage included. I know it’s “talk” games, but we need some show and tell here.
I like you hi.
Had Mega Man 2 for Game Boy back in the day. 10-year-old me was floored to discover that half the Robot Masters in the game are actually from the NES version of Mega Man 3! (Magnet Man, Needle Man, Hard Man & Top Man if you're wondering)
Bin games
Paper boy was my game boy game
Solar Striker was always my go-to game while waiting for the bus to get to and from school.
