Laiser Hill dethroned Upper Hill as the national secondary school boys basketball champions, winning 51-43 in a pulsating final. This as Girls Basketball defending champions Kaya Tiwi retained their title with a 48-35 win over St. Brigids Kiminini. In 15s rugby, Kakamega were crowned champions with St. Cecilia Misikhu the new hockey girls champions.
