About This Video: I’m restoring a thrashed Game Boy Advance SP in this video to “like new” condition. That means a new case, new screen protector, new battery, and cleaning out off the motherboard. And, of course, making sure everything works when I’m done. It’s so satisfying to take old gaming equipment and make it look new again.
Have something broken you want to send me?

SHREK!
is there a difference between the AGS-001 and the AGS-101 in terms of mainboard? are they exchangeable without further tweaking?
Hello I have a question, I accidentally spilled a little bit of soda near the power button on my PS4, what should I do?
bit of a late comment, but it seems kinda odd that you would repair a 001 model, mainly because they are cheapo consoles compared to the 101.
I'm can u fix a 3ds pls mines in half and it has all the memory my good memories
Шлейф не зачистил.
Hardly the same device anymore though
Can I clean the motherboard with some generic glass cleaning lotion?
2:57 Did the hinge break?
This is not a restoration video it is a transfer internals video.
I don’t understand how people break their video game consoles. They are very important to me.
The hair stuck under the new screen protector AHHHHHHHHHHH!
It's nice seeing a restored GBA SP with the original front light screen. The contrast and brightness isn't as great as the AGS-101 model; but it was a great little device.
I had one of these back in the day and loved it to death.
I can not find a shell in graphite color or drak gray for my GBA Sp AGS 101. They have all the colors except this I am so dissapointed
I both love and hate seeing you do these restorations. I hate to see how gross they are when you get them (yuk), but I love seeing how they turn out when your done(almost like new in some cases)…
I love that your Gameboy advanced test game is shrek
Ready💪
Soothing video, love it! But technically you don't restore nothing, don't get me wrong, replacing worn parts with new parts it's not the same like try to renew one.
In the other hand, replace all parts kill the charm, I rescued some systems and games from flea markets, I cleaned or repaired all, but I conserved names or drawing on labels/ cartridges (I have a hand drawn Kirby GBC game). Subbed to your channel
This was once my favorite console. I loved the form-factor as a kid.
Sabes que ya ya estás viejo cuando aparece un video de restauración de la consola de tu infancia ..
I want this sp
Hizo la game boy de nuevo no la reparó
Por el juego de shrek 2 te ganaste el like
if not have a triwin, try with a 1.3 torx
It bothered me when he got the water damage sticker wet
Awesome restoration! Thanks for sharing this! We are a team of workers at a repair shop in Tucuman, Argentina and we love your videos!
👍
I still have mine. I played Zelda games too much on it but my gameboy still works fine
Suprised you didn't install the screen upgrade. Makes these old things much more enjoyable to play
Opened up multiple SPs at this point and the hinges are by far the most annoying. If there's a trick or logic to it, I have no clue
shame you didn't do the ips display mod, it looks amazing.
I have questions about the black ring on your finger… Because I know one meaning of it, but as I'm not sure it's that, I don't want to assume things.
I love how old tech are very long lasting. And easy disassembly or repair.
What did you use to clean the motherboard? A dry cuetip? Also what was that little brush you used on the inputs?
Amazing job!
I am buy Gameboy advence sp just for 1.5$ all things working correctly just i need a charger
Hey I have that 😊
Is it possible to frontlight a SP?
wow after watching this video I want to kick myself. I used to buy returns and whatnot from a liquidator and in one of the trailers I got there were over a hundred Gameboys of all types. I played around with them see which ones worked and got maybe 20 that did and just threw the rest in the dumpster.
I still have mine best gadget i ever had in my childhood playing pokemon fire red despite never owning a single play station
Wow you did a good job you know my cousin gave me a free gameboy advance sp pearl pink edition it just needed a new case, the ribbion cable for the screen was detached, and it needed a new battery and now it works perfectly with pokemon emerald!
I got same one i had since kid
Aw man too bad about the speck of dust in the top right corner underneath the screen protector
Still an epic job though!
Hey i have a question… Can i put an ags 001 screen on a ags 101 pcb? Please help me!
Man, I really like your videos they are so informative.
I still have one of these and it works perfectly
Shut up and restore it
Awesome I'm just starting to watch this video, but I know the restoration will go great. You do a good job cleaning. One of the reason I stay watching u. Don't we all love clean products.
Thanks so much for this video !
I'll take it as a tutorial for cleaning my GBA
