I Bought 6 Broken Game Boys – Let’s Try to Fix Them!
BW-100 ECC 8 oz x 1 Pack (paid link):
I Bought ALL The Broken Game Boys – Let’s Fix Them! I bought every color of Game Boy in the Play It Loud! series (USA available colors) so I have size to try to get fully working. Corroded battery contacts are a problem with almost all of them. I also fixed a couple screen issues and, of course, did some cleaning.

Just wondering, where do you live? Just wondering
I'm sorry, something is bugging me with the screen you tried to repair… Why not reflow the whole screen, instead of focusing specifically on the connection under the line???
Are you sure the connection is directly under the said line, couldn't there be another traces somewhere managing something else… I would've done it completely just to be sure…
Dude I learned alot about contact cleaning today.
Where o where do you buy these? I'm from Belgium btw so I'd rather avoid shipping costs but on second hand sites i find nothing over here 🙁
Sweet! ❤
Not gonna lie I'd really like to see those cleaning videos
Bros a professional and donno the difference between corrosion and battery acid from dead battery staying in the system for to long and you didn't need to replay it it will come off with alcohol and a bit of heat and yes i know its not actually acid just what ypu call it
Baking soda / water mix will neutralize the corrosion if you want to kill it completely
Definitely use vinegar to remove the battery residue. It's actually just crystallized alkaline battery leakage.
What do you do with all these repaired systems when you’re finished bring them back from the brink of death?
i have a clear play it loud gameboy with case and 1 gray and black original
Rip the landfields 😞
I have a better idea if you use CHIP QUIK PbBiln for replace original LCD screen. It's much easier that way and you don't destroy the lcd ribbon (flex)
hi brother i can send u a blue one if u like i got all of them all new and i got a spare blue one if u like one
Had that clear one with Indiana Jones and Killer Instinct..
baking soda and vinegar for battery corrosion.
Hey, my gameboy shows a completely black screen when I turn it on, no matter what game, its not the contrast. How to fix? 🙂
I like to desolder the corroded battery terminals and just soak em in distilled white vinegar. That corrosion will just dissolve right off of there.

Alcohol eats away at adhesive, so just use some alcohol when removing polarizers, less risk of breaking the glass due to less pressure needed to pull off the polarizer.

Are you sell them if you are I'm interested
Gotta Love His Content.
I wish I could go back in time to learn stuff like this. I wasted so much time in dead end jobs without trying to learn anything.
where you buy the bundles
8:31 baking soda in water dissolves cerosion
White vinegar dissolves that corrosion pretty well so could use it on the plastic and then just make sure it’s all cleaned up, gets in the nooks a lot easier
For something that old, a bit of grime is expected along with wear and tear. I still have my multi tap to join one gameboy to others and its still in its box. Its never been open or used 👍
I've been trying to find some cool "broken" items or "for spares or repairs" items but I just can find anything good online? Where do you find most of these?
Not a Y 0 triforce 😊
Do you sell these devices that you are able to fix? If so where? Thanks.
Why to remove polarizer you didn't use alcohol ?
U would b surprised on how clean u can get realy Corroded battery contacts with some lemon or lime juice
How are you using Q tips without leaving cotton fiber everywhere ? Are they special type of Q tips ?
the screen shouldnt shake that when a game is playing.
Your àwesome
Exactly! They don’t want their products repairable so we’ll buy more. They care about making money a lot more than consuming earth’s limited resources.
Was it just me? I was trying to tell him to adjust the contrast on the black gameboy when he fixed it then he was trying to remove the DK game without switching the lock switch off to remove the game
Seeing how indestructible they are i mean
Holy cow what's up with people listing broken gameboys on Ebay for $50?
All your gameboys are broken, screen flickering 😂
Can you fix my gameboy?

My guy, you make that stuff look easy! 🤌👊
The black game boy didnt hVe corrosion. Thats stuff was dried battery acid. He must’ve left batteries inside and they got old and leaked with time. I had the same and just needed to clean that dried stuff.
