  1. 9:27 did you shoe the games at the wrong times for a joke or on accident

  2. Me trying to make r34 of game boy well shit

  3. "definitive endings…just like a divorce" LMAO subscribed

  4. I had a thing that attached to the Gameboy that was a magnifying glass and lights…. And a battery back…

  5. 1:42 That version of Pac-Man was not available for either the NES or Gameboy. Just like a divorce.

  6. I grew up with the original (It was right before the pocket came out) and the screens were a bit clearer when they were brand new,. That said the pocket was a huge improvement, my only regret was not asking for the color and GBA (be cause I was an idiot and thought my brothers would share theirs. They didn't.

  7. Love the GB Mario’s and Zelda. Could not afford anything better

  8. Boy, you were not lying, I recently bought DK 94 on the 3DS, and it is amazing!

  9. Neither the Game Boy nor Game Gear were ever really considered big when I was growing up. At least not by the people who actually carried them (journos don't count). It was a time where guys didn't wear skinny jeans like their girlfriends and said girlfriends carried these things around called a purse with them for God knows what.

It was a time where many of us were very confused as to how a belt worked and light-up sneakers were the epitome of sweetness. My jeans that I wore to school were so baggy (late 1980's and early 1990's) that I could fit both a Game Boy and Game Gear in the same pocket. The Atari Lynx on the other hand while cool was the size of a Yugo.

Addendum- The Game Boy aside from the obvious resolution differences was actually more powerful than the Nes in many cases. It's main Zilog Z-80 processor runs circles around the Nes's Cmos design.

  10. He never mentions Pokémon…

    HE NEVER MENTIONS POKÉMON…so sad

  11. Original Gameboy screens look so much worse today because they are so old. Lcd screens, especially old ones, break down over the years and things like ghosting and smearing occur, especially noticable with side scroller games. If you could find a new screen made exactly like the original dot matrix screens were, it would work easy better.

  12. 3:57 A lot of younger audiences might see this as a joke but this was a very true occurrence at least for me as a kid. I'd stay up to all hours of the night playing Pokemon Red on my GameBoy with a small flashlight in my mouth propped on my chest.

  13. 14:49 I figured the game with Super Mario 64 2 in the title would be something like Banjo-Kazooie or Donkey Kong 64.

  14. First time I watch this video and Scott said it’s a minor made me laugh hard

  15. There is something oddly charming about Super Mario Land compared to the original SMB. If you sat me in front of a TV and offered me the original SMB or SML on Super Game Boy, I'd take SML every time. I think a lot of it is the music, while SMB is iconic and some of the most well know in the world, SML music had a lot of heart, similar to Sonic 1 for Game Gear.

  16. I wonder if we all were mistaken and Super Mario Land was never m3ant to be a game series but rather a game System on wich the games plqyed where running on.

  17. The end card music on Scott's videos always reminded me of Gameboy Megaman music

  18. Let’s say, for the sake of the argument, that in this scenario, that somebody heine is drowning my ice box, then it would reasonable to say that somebody cold one is simultaneously giving me chills, would it not make sense for me to just close my eyes?

  19. I don't think he realizes how awful the screens are now compared to like 20 years ago just due to age.

  20. Gameboy games are cool because it has the charm of being the first in a line of nintendo systems, the same as the NES, combined with the fact that it's so easy to pick up and play the games. The more limitations that a console has, the more focus is on the gameplay.

  21. Scott calling the original Kirby "stupid easy" but i couldn't get past kracko the first long couple of times I played it……………………………….Perhaps I Am Not a Very Good Gamer HGDJDGDJF

  22. Wario Land brought back some crazy memories. Playing the gameboy in the car, trying to see the screen as the light shines though the windows from the street lamps.

  23. 12:57 anyone else notice Scott has a habit of putting stuff in his mouth? Lol

  24. Finally I have found someone that pronounces Pokemon the same way I do!

  25. I'm surprised they never put Sim City on the platform

  26. Scott: Kirby fits in everywhere, put him in court, I don’t care.
    John Kirby: Wait

  27. To be sure, the very first Final Fantasy Adventure game (released by SquareSoft) on the GameBoy was indeed a "true" Final Fantasy franchise-title (it directly features tons of elements from previous games in the series, unlike the rebranded SaGa RPGs), but its subsequent follow-ups (in the form of The Secret of Mana ) were deliberately designed to jettison all FF-universe elements and instead stand as their own original thing.

And then the FFA-remake that came out just a few years back on the PS Vita (retitled Adventures of Mana ) also completely tossed out all of the Final Fantasy elements in the 1991 GameBoy version and became a retconned "original" title, as well, now shorn of its previous FF-trappings.

  28. i have wario land still sealed what do you have

  29. Mario’s Picross was already a Super Famicom game though?

  30. I wonder when the Game Girl is coming out 🤔

  31. If y’all haven’t played the Viewtiful joe games u should try them out very fun

  32. I like how Scott doesn't even like Pokemon but his copy of Silver still has a case.

  33. 6:06 Official GB Earphones have the Red/Blue combination.

Just under thirty years later, the same colours are used again for a Hybrid Console…

  34. I can honestly see eye to eye with Scott on his distaste for Pokemon. It's so fucking over done and over rated.

  35. Yea just had to make sure to buy the damn light add on

  36. When comedy meets documentaries
    = scott the woz

  37. just beat Super Mario Land 2 with 99 lives and 999 coins

not on a Gameboy, but on a hacked-ass fuckin Leapfrog Explorer, lmao

  38. I never had the original Game Boy, but I would so love to play Super Mario World…Land, since it features Daisy.
