  1. Aside from Oracle of Ages & Seasons, I was in no rush to upgrade from Pocket to Advance. The Colour was just what I already had, but in color. Okay I half lie, it was pretty downing to see my classmates play the Oracle games and Pokémon Crystal while I had to settle with Link's Awakening and Silver, but that said I loved my Pocket and then some until I first laid eyes on the Advance. I can't recall a system since that has made me fall in love faster purely by its design. Sure, it had great games, but it also stuck out by being oval and having the screen centered, plus that unforgetable legendary bootup screen. My grandma called my mom that christmas to ask if I wanted a pet bird like my siblings had, or a GameBoy Advance. Easiest decision in my life, it took me 0.1 second to answer.

  2. The mouse when it saw the Game Boy Micro: ”Guess I’ll start fucking.”

  3. I have the clear pink Gameboy Advance still working today

  4. I like this comment section. I still remember visiting my grandma and finding her weird because she owned a GBA and wanted me to play it. I owned a DS and wouldn't play ANYTHING ELSE.

I want a GBA now. Seems like an incredible experience that I never had.

  5. GBA start Mario and Luigi and now 3DS ending Mario and Luigi.

  6. haha i have got 3 game boy advance sp s all 3 of them 001

  7. I'm actually a huge fan of the game boy advanced, and seeing it being praised warms my heart.

  8. If it has exclusive games, it’s a new console, period, DSi is a new console, I’ll be it with a very limited exclusive games list, never the less, exclusive games, means new console

  9. wait the gameboy came out in 1989 and the game coy coulor came out in 1986

  10. So you know how the GBA SP doesn’t have a headphone Jack? Newer iPhones have the same problem. Apple hasn’t included headphone Jacks on their devices since the iPhone 6.

  11. Wait he has 1 mil subs I thought he had like 400k or something

  12. I had that very same GBMicro… I sold all to the covid… But now i got an ASS101 in an AGB001

  13. Scott: Explaining the GBA
    Me: *Jamming to the Music*

  14. Bastian also known as a goddamn mess says:

Adjusted for inflation the gameboy advance would cost about 200$

  15. Just discover your channel and became a subscriber. Love your sense of humor in all the videos, it keeps me coming back. Awesome videos!! Keep up the awesome work !!

  16. 17:51 they did not make TOO many of them, there is only one chibi robo ziplash game and that's pushing it already.
The Battle Network series was an absolute blast to play through in its entirety and the only bad one is 4.
God forbid we meet on the DS video, because then we're throwing hands in a new way, Wozniak.

  17. Scott can't get into pokemon cause it's an rpg and longer than 10 hours

  18. I just don't understand why Nintendo never made a version of the original GBA with a backlight? Hell, people are buying that these days from third party tech companies.

  19. I forgot mario pinball existed and I'm now going to try finding it on ebay.

  20. I was never a fan of the SP. It was too small and square to be comfortable playing. My hands always hurt after just a few minutes on it. The original Advance was so close to perfection, it just needed a backlight.

  21. Man i wish i wasnt a dumbass lil kid i miss my gba sp it was the shit 😔

  22. "A talking hat…"

    A talking hat?!

  23. I don't even remember plugging in my SP. Wtf. Am i the only one ?

  24. I asked for a Gameboy color and my mom bought a used Gameboy pocket on accident. It was yellow and I was so disappointed.

  25. My first console ever was the GBA SP, I only had a Care Bears game so my real fun began when I got a DS, however, I still feel pretty nostalgic towards the GBA, because years later a cousin showed me the magic of mobile GBA emulators.

  26. Bruh I owned an SP as a child and I remember being on the bus and someone said "hey! I have a GBA as well!" And pulled out the thick original one and I was so freaking confused

  27. I genuinely think the GBA SP is the greatest handheld ever because it has awesone battery, massivd amount of games, actually fits in a pocket unlike a Switch and is just a good system overall

  28. The truculent timer endoscopically afford because battle micrencephaly bless around a meek seat. bawdy, unarmed divorced

  29. I could never beat superstar saga as a kid. That one boss you weaken and then they turn buff as fuck and you have to defeat them before they repeat the cycle.

  30. so many good games to be played, get a flash cart and go to town. funnest racing game imo is gt advance 3, its funner than it looks

  31. My older brother had the sp when I was little and after complaining my mom bought me a color, lol I thought mine was better cause it was bigger and purple. He was probably laughing at me not understanding it was the older console. I have such fond memories of playing leafgreen and never even getting past the second town

  32. More people have watched this video than Game Boy Micro sales

  33. Scott I have another fun bit of information for the GBA. So, I'm a big Nightmare Before Christmas fan, and though there's just the one movie, there were two video games released that acted as a prequel and a sequel. The prequel was for the GBA, titled The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King, it recounted the tale of the first time Jack Skellington meets Oogie Boogie and how Jack becomes known as the Pumpkin King. The sequel was released to consoles as The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge and those versions told the story of the year after the events of the movie. The GBA game is quite good, and fairly easily to play with a decent number of challenges. There's different weapons to unlock, and levels themed around sets from the movie.

  34. I still play my gba sp to this day but the brightness button broke so it has the older gbas brightness permanently 😔

  35. 10:35
The Micro screen is actually worse, the colors look washed out compared to 101.

  36. So that's where andrew got the mario sprites for SMBX! The gba Mario 3 remake
