Classic Game Room reviews the GAME BOY GAMECUBE adapter for Nintendo GameCube released in 2003 from Nintendo. It sits beneath the Nintendo GameCube and connects via a high speed port so that you can play original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance videogames on your GameCube on a big screen television! Hear the audio in stereo clarity that you won’t get on the GBA or GameBoy handheld video game consoles. The Game Boy Player works with a software boot disc that is required for the system to work. This CGR video review of the Nintendo Game Boy Player for GameCube shows GameBoy gameplay played through the Game Boy Player (games shown are Mario Kart Super Circuit, F Zero and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe). Unlike the Super Game Boy for SNES, the Game Boy Player will play Game Boy Color and GBA videogame game paks.

Lol now you’re looking at 120$ in box for the gb player and like 70 for the gc wow times change
I actually will get the gamecube now that I know this, maybe after I save loads of money.
I was wanting to play rhythm tengoku/ silver, but didn't have a game boy advance.
But I have a Game Cube!
Does this work with any GameCube?
I am new
My name is Noah nice to meet you.
So you can play any gameboy game on the gamecube with that adapter?
This channel used to be great
I would prefer the Super Retro Advance Adapter so I can play GBA games via my SNES strictly based on the controller style alone, but since that thing seems to be permanently out of commission, I guess I could get the adapter for my Gamecube. :/
isn't there a reciently comment? I got this in my recommendations?
Looks like you're imagining playing Xbox huh?
Everything in this new decade needs to be Modern and Retro again.
The Switch should have a GameBoy, DS, and 3DS player.
The start-up discs are starting to get expensive, I've seen them as high as $79!
Nintendo Switch online from virtual consoles needs to have creative frames.
Best garage sale purchase I made, Gamecube, w/ GB player and disc, 2 controllers for $20.
Game Boy Player it's just GBA hardware in form of expansion for gamecube but can't work without software on the disk. Clever
is there a way to play multiplayer games with that adapter?
I wish it was still $35 for the whole set😂 now it’s worth $100+…
For 9 years ago this is a good video
this thing is what thrusted the Gamecube into my Top 3 nintendo systems..how the hell could you ever go back to playing it on a tiny gameboy, over your tv? it was awesome!
does anyone know what the cable is called or if they still exist,to connect into the front External Extension port,to connect a gameboy advance sp etc, thanks for help

"They're extremely easy to find." Where? I've searched for one for over a year with no luck and just got one today. And you got a huge steal for the console and adapter for $35. I bought my Game Boy Player for $150.
2020 update: Hard too find and $150-$250
Mario kart game play please
2:30 If you have a GBA – Gamecube link cable, you can connect to GBA player and use your GBA as a controller. Control on gameboy, watch / hear on TV.
Nintendo always gave a way for backward compatibility in the past, I don't understand why not offer older Nintendo emulation on Switch. Why not we buy old games from the store?
9 years later and the price for the gameboy player and disk has skyrocketed to $175 😭
watching this in 2020 and almost falling over when he said its easy to find gamecubes with the adapter for $30
I remember always wanted this. How much was this at launch?
How prices change over the years, I just bought a GameCube for £50 and the Gameboy player with disc for £110. Can't wait to play Zelda.
Can you get this full screen
Aren’t these like a couple hundred dollars now? Because I wanna do gaming videos on my game boy games. Or is there anyway you can get them for cheaper?
😂😂😂35 dollars now it like 900
Disc is so hard to come by, bro. Expensive it is.
3:16. even worse now. Backwards compatibilty is not really a thing anymore.
It sucks because the game boy startup disc is like $200
Can I have that
That ATI logo though.

If I knew how expensive these things were going to get then I would have bought one sooner.
Classic Game Room changed their name?😯
He got the gc and gb player both for $30….
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life🙏
who just found out about this
Do you need to insert the startup disk only once or everytime you play a game?
I knew it my parents shouldn’t have sell the Gamecube
