  1. Hey!!! To be fair to et creator, he had only a few days to create that game!

  2. I'm not sexist just that mobile gaming isn't as complex as console gaming and you can't use mobile gamers as they are often seen as "casuals", no offense, and not really a part of the gaming world.

  3. Umm the ads nowadays don’t actually just appeal to men, (for example) CODs trailers are Jam packed with straight up action and war, you know why? Because that’s what the game is about

  4. "That's just stupid phone games."

Gotta say he has a point there. PC and console games are vastly different than mobile games. Mobile games are often "free to play" and try to get people to spend as much on in-app purchases as possible. Console and PC games put a much larger emphasis on the gameplay and story knowing that almost all their money earned is paid up front.

  5. I agree that if your household has this bias, you should stop because it's pointless, but people are hardly like that. Sure, my sisters didn't play much video games, but neither did my brothers. It simply doesn't interest everybody and that's ok.

  6. "Thats just counting stupid phone games"
That is an amazing point. Thats the type of games most female players play. Why? Because they're free and accessible. Console and PC games are still played mostly by males and thats why game developers cater to them, catering to just women would lessen the amount of men who play those games therefore losing most of their players. And in some games diversity is very hard, you can't have a female lead character in Battlefield 1 because of history. And if you want females in games how? You cant have them as being helpless, you can't have them being weak, if you can't show a character at a low point you lose a very important factor for us to relate to that character since now they're just a Mary Sue

  7. The real horror of this video was that, at 3:08, there were three purple candies in a row and they didn't explode.

  8. Ah, in this comment section we have typical chud gamers getting upset because Adam brought up a topic that gives a small look into inequality and privilege, along with just how toxic gamers are about their masculinity, which they got upset about to the point of… proving his point with their fragile comments. Classic!

  9. TBH, this seems to have been an American issue. Never once in Sweden was video games considered a boy only thing. Except we still don't accept phone games as "games".

  10. Ok so I’m seeing a lot of negative comments about this video and I wanted to share my opinion. I think a lot of times some games can be directed towards boys and yes there are girl options for like characters but the over sexualize the females often. Also with the whole toys section I do see that happening maybe not the games themselves but the merchandise and toys about the games are always in the boys section while the girls have barbies. While yes things have changed and it’s better it’s still not perfect. Also I agree mobile games are not real games.

  11. People chose to market to boys because we’re much easier to entertain lmao

  12. I used to literally make my sister play video games with me. Used to play Roblox with my girl cousins all the time. What idiot actually takes action to try to discourage women from playing games? Stop creating problems out of nothing guys

  13. i like it when you discredit men when they create video games it proves that you're no different from a brainless walking talking potato.

  14. One of my closest friends wanted to play Counter Strike, a steam third person shooter game. She wasn't very good, but that was normal for someone who just started. Unfortunately, a lot of the guys in my class started to mock her for playing, saying she was super bad at the game. Let's be real. Everyone is bad when playing their FIRST VIDEO GAME EVER.

  15. It better that they staying at kitchen instead playing this crap! It's just not a games!😑
Уж лучше пусть на кухне стоят, чем во всякую хрень играют!😑
    Это ж блеать недоигры!!

  16. if you play mobile games only you're a gamer but not a true one

  17. I absolutely love playing video games, but I feel restricted because most of the games are games where you shoot people, and that's not the kind of person I am, so I really only play three, maybe four video games

  18. Geez you guys really can't let us have anything can you

  19. I would love for my girlfriend to get into Halo, but she's more of a Little Nightmares kind of person. That's good enough for me. But I just want to talk to someone about Halo.

  20. We dont care what gender you are, but just because you are a girl, does not mean you get special treatment

  21. As I'm watching this, my sister took the PS4 from me to play fortnite.

  22. "Video game ads make me, a woman, uncomfortable because they're marketed only towards men!"
me rewatching the Demon's Souls Remake trailer and Cyberpunk 2077 trailers multiple times on YT because of how cool and amazing they look

  23. He's a child and ,why are you making the boy the bad guy?

  24. I mean maybe he’s kind of—
With bad research but most of comments are talking from experience when it’s a fact games wasn’t for girls and that advertisement was (and sometimes still is for men) and that most of the communities are still denied to the idea that girls can play games.

  25. Oh just shut up with the nonsense already. I am a gamer and I pray that my future wife would love games too.

  26. Everyone in this comment section seems to want to discount this idea as if sexism isn't alive an well. Did you all forget about Gamer Gate?

  27. Adam… do I have too bring up that chick that said,”anyone can be a gamer even if it’s a sudoko on you phone” (I’m not being sexist or anything )but… you can’t call your self a gamer if you only play 1 game on mobile, the entire reason people want too be called a gamer is because nowadays it’s cool too be one and back when gaming was new a lot of people were bullied for playing games

  28. It's fascinating to think that there might be some alternate timeline where Nintendo chose to put the NES in the girl section of the toy aisle, and the game industry became dominated by games targeting a female demographic.

  29. I’m currently looking in my public library for who asked for this

  30. I honestly don't recall a time that girls weren't allowed to play videogames for being girls. In fact; I don't even recall a time that girls were excluded from doing anything deemed as boyish. I can, however, recall several times that boys were excluded from many things deemed as girlish; such as playing dress-up or tea party, or playing with Barbie dolls. Any boy caught doing any of those things would have been the laughing stock of all his peers back in the day.

  31. My sister loves video games but those damn ads forced her to stop! ;(

  32. I knew my gf thanks to videogames, when she presented me her friend we where three fools playing and laughing. I love playing games with her

  33. just glad i grew up a gamer and stuck to my games

  34. The only two genres of games that are played by mostly women are match 3 and puzzle games. Hardcore games are primarily played by men. The reason most of those games are marketed toward men is because that’s the demographic

  35. "A huge untapped market"
Yeah somehow i doubt that people that only play free games on a device they already have, and need, that you can play for a few minutes at a time when you have nothing to do, would also buy a console for the sole purpose of playing games. "What about pc?"
If you ever helped parents buy a pc you know that pc will implode trying to play anything made after 1990

  36. Adam correction why older generations think video games are for boys.

  37. I'm gonna take a wild guess as to why this has so many dislikes

  38. Adam ruins how to not do biased research :/

  39. There was a study which deduced that men with less skills would abuse women online more. Real men which includes men with video game skills are real would push women to be better. — coming from a man.

  40. had to come and dislike, Just doin' my part!

  41. This video comment section is filled with girl gamers and feminists hate.
Cut some slack this video is old and outdated to a time when people thought games were for guys like 2012 I think, but just published to YT later in 2016. That's like 8 since it was made.
